SAMURAI ARTIST KAMUI & MIKA KOBAYASHI

It is a group of "samurai artists" who fuse formal beauty, theater and martial arts.

Led by its founder, Tetsuro Shimaguchi, the group develops a wide range of activities in Japan and internationally based on a unique method that fuses Japanese fencing and the expressive arts. As "Samurai Artists", they continue to transmit "SAMURAI" as Japanese art and culture to the world.

Mika Kobayashi

She is a singer-songwriter who plays the piano and sings numerous anime and game themes. While her original songs are characterized by melodies reminiscent of classical music with the main theme of female emotions, as a vocalist she specializes in passionate and powerful songs about battle and conflict.

He has been performing abroad since 2010 and has toured abroad every year since then. A true live artist who performs successfully in any environment.

Nihon ni koisita, Flemish

The project combines Japanese culture and music with flamenco. They perform all over Japan. They produced a video dancing in kimono at famous places in 47 prefectures in 2019. They perform in theaters, temples, shrines, and castles throughout Japan. In addition to performances on Japanese instruments such as the biwa, shamisen, sanshin, taiko, and shinobue, they set waka and haiku poems to sevillanas, creating Japanese flamenco.

This time, as the event is held in Spain, we would like to perform Japanese sevillanas in Seville, the cradle of sevillanas.

A Passion Mars

This artist sings various genres, from nursery rhymes to opera and jazz. His show is mainly based on Japanese songs, using kimonos and obis so that the public can enjoy Japanese culture.

She also reads stories to children, so she plans to visit elementary schools. Its musical theme is the opera Carmen Habanera.

Fuyuki Enokido and Josem Maria Gallardo del Rey

In December 2021, a representation of the "Samurai of Seville" was held at the Cervantes Institute in Tokyo. The performance is based on a novel by John J Healey. It deals with the Keicho Mission, which visited Seville in 1614 to establish trade relations with Spain, and the events that led to the first cultural exchange between Japan and Spain. The play will be performed in collaboration with two traditional instruments, the koto and the guitar.
