The unknown Seville

Seville is well known and at the same time very unknown. Meet all those alternative places off the traditional route.

Alameda de Hercules

La Alameda has established itself as the avant-garde space par excellence in the city of Seville. Around it are concentrated art galleries and craft bead shops. The gastronomic offer is very wide. There are cafes and cocktail bars where music and poetry shows, open mics and language exchanges are organized. In addition, the Alameda has exquisite multicultural restaurants.

THE CARTUJA

Isla de la Cartuja is an area located between two sections of the Guadalquivir River. In it there are numerous office buildings, a park, a stadium, a shopping center located in the lower part of Torre Sevilla, pavilions worth visiting, such as that of Morocco, which is now the headquarters of the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation.

Seville and its neighborhoods

Santa Cruz

The magic of the Barrio de Santa Cruz is known worldwide. Its narrow streets of the Jewish quarter end in small squares full of charm and orange trees. Walking you can find craft shops and exceptional tapas bars.

Its corners are full of ancient legends. We highlight the Plaza de Doña Elvira, Calle del Agua and Calle Verde: a narrow road full of vegetation that provides shade in summer and old ghost stories at night.

Triana

The neighborhood known as the cradle of flamenco overflows with art from its famous Triana Bridge, which connects the historic center with the neighborhood across the Guadalquivir River. The Plaza del Altozano, the center of Triana, boasts several monuments, among which the one dedicated to flamenco stands out.

Calle Betis offers views of the Guadalquivir River and the city and is made up of colorful and picturesque facades. In it are located different gastronomic premises.

A visit to the Ceramics Museum is also a must, where since 2014 the ceramic tradition of the city of Seville has been preserved.

Alfalfa

Famous for its wine bars and tapas bars, this neighborhood offers multiple gastronomic routes that are representative of the city. After dark, it offers nightlife where you can find modern cocktail bars and craft beer bars.

In it is also the Church of El Salvador, located in the old mosque and of a marked baroque style. It is advisable to visit the birthplace of Diego Velázquez, now converted into a museum.
